How to get reliance Jio sim, generate barcode and activate


As I recently got Jio sim from one of the nearest Reliance Digital store so once I posted this info on my Whatsapp then most of my friends are asking how, from where to get the sim and what are the steps to get the bar code generation etc.
Let me tell you the steps for those who don’t know how to generate bar code in their smartphone and for those who are not technical in this.
Make sure that you have a 4G enabled smartphone.
  • You need to download myjio app from Google Play store.
  • Once it is downloaded, let the app run for 3-5 minutes so that it gets all the data sync from server.
  • Once it is done then you will soon start seeing message beneath the slider of app screen “Get Jio Sim” or “select State” and “select city” then you have to fill out First, last name, phone number (on which you will verify OTP further for barcode).  (For those who still unable to get the option “Get Jio Sim” or “select State” and “select city” message on their app wall then they should keep trying installing 1-2 more app from myjio app or just uninstall myjio app and then again install fresh one)
  • Once you finished above steps then you will see this Congratulation message in your App that show generated barcode.

  • Now, you have to reach in nearest Reliance Digital (I visited pinnacle mall sector 1o dwarka), xpress mini store near you along with Aadhar card and 2 passport photo. then once your turn comes, Reliance jio officials will provide you sim, record your aadhar number and finger print to feed in their database.
  • Next, you will be advised that sim will be activated in around 24 hours(if still your sim has not been activated yet then you can call customer care for the same). Once sim activated, make sure you downloaded “Jio4Gvoice” so you can able to make calls from this app else it will not connect call.
