How to show hidden files in FTP software like FileZilla and Winscp
Open FTP software FileZilla: Go to server menu as in snapshot. Click on the “ Force showing hidden files ” from the server menu dropdown list and you are done. For Winscp, Open Winscp: Go to option menu as in snapshot. Then “Preferences” (ctrl+alt+p) then in the next preferences pop up option, click on Panels then tick on “Show hidden files” alternatively (ctrl+alt+h) OK For Cpanel, Open your website’s Control panel, likely this yoursitename.com/cpanel or yoursitename.com:2083 go to file manager At the top right, Click “Settings” option Tick Show hidden files (dotfiles) save changes. Now whenever you connect FTP/Cpanel then will be able to see system protected files and hidden files like .htaccess, webconfig and other configuration files which normally hidden in default state.
